The Millennial-Day Theory (part 2): Confusion & Void

As promised, here is the second installment of the "Millennial-Day Theory" series entitled "The Millennial-Day Theory (part 2): Confusion & Void". This one will cover days 1 & 2 of God's Creation. You won't see a lot of dialogue from me on this part or the next two parts of this series. However, you will be given access to a wealth of knowledge that is the product of the research of people far more intelligent than I am. People like J.R. Church, Gary Stearmnan, E.W. Bullinger, and others.

Below is a chart of the time period that we will be discussing. This time period covers the first two millennia of history (4000-2000 BC) and as it also corresponds with the first two days of Creation. Click the here for a more detailed view.




In case you missed the first part in this series, then you probably feel totally lost at this point. Feel free to get up to speed by reading "The Millennial-Day Theory (part 1): What Time Is It?"...go ahead, we'll wait. :)

If you don't have time to read all of that, then let me give you a short synopsis:

Basically, the idea behind the "Millennial-Day Theory" got its start from Psalm 90:4 and 2nd Peter 3:8 and supported by several other bible passages. In short, both verses state that, from God's perspective, 1 day to Him is like 1,000 days to us. If you map out the course of history on a timeline based on events in the Bible (Yes, it's true. Click here for a short summary by David V. Bassett), then you come to the conclusion that the Earth is only about 6,000 years old. Take into account that our news headlines today are strikingly similar to the biblical prophecies concerning the end times and that, according to the book of Revelations, we still have the 1,000 year of Christ on our to-do list, then it stands to reason that this world only has approximately 7,000 years in total for its life (6,000 + 1,000 = 7,000...get it?).

Where shall we begin?

Where else but "In the beginning..."

Let's start with what the Bible has to say about the first day of Creation:

Day 1

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, 'Let there be light'; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day." (Genesis 1:1-5)

This was all done on "the first day" or day number 1. There were no days prior to this day. On each end of our world history stands eternity. So, since we are considering day number 1, then we should consider the spiritual significance of the number 1. Now, I'm not talking about numerology, gematria, or any of that other witchcraft mumbo-jumbo. What I am talking about is, what can we glean from the passages of the Bible about the number 1 and what can we infer from that about the first day of creation and by extension the first millennia?

Introducing...E.W. Bullinger--who was he you ask? He was an Anglican clergyman, Biblical scholar, and theologian. Born on December 15, 1837 and went on to be with our Lord on June 6, 1913. It would be a gross understatement to simply say that he was a smart man. E.W. Bullinger wrote a fascinating book (among several) back in his day entitled "Number in Scripture" and you can read it here free of charge. In this book, Mr. Bullinger exhaustively studied and combed through the scriptures to draw from it the spiritual significance of numbers.

So what does he say about the number 1? Read below:

"One" excludes all difference, for there is no second with which it can either harmonise or conflict.

When it is written: "Hear, O Israel, the LORD thy God is one LORD," it does not deny the Doctrine of the Trinity, but it excludes absolutely another Lord: it excludes, therefore, all idolatry.

Hence the First Commandment declares "Thou shalt have NO OTHER GODS" (Exo 20:3).

It asserts that there is in God a sufficiency which needs no other; and an independence which admits no other.

It marks the beginning. We must begin with God. All our words and works must be characterised by the first words of the Bible: "In the beginning GOD." Nothing is right that does not begin with Him. "God first" is the voice of Scripture. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" (Matt 6:33) is the testimony of Christ. "God first" is the great proclamation. The angels sang: "Glory to God in the highest." This was the beginning of their song

The first is the only one. There cannot be two firsts. Man ignorantly speaks of the "two first," or the "three first," when he really means the first two, or the first three, etc. The Word of God does not thus ignorantly speak. He is the only one. He is first in priority of time. He is first in superiority of rank, and He is first in absolute supremacy.

God is all that we need, but He doesn't need anything--just like the number 1! In mathematics, you don't need any other number to make a 1, but without a 1, it is impossible to make any other number. The number 1 is the basic and primary unit from which all other units are made. For example, let's say all of a sudden, the number 1 became non-existent...how would you make a 2? How about 2,000? How would you make any number?? Every number is made up of 1's!

Think about this: Suppose a friend invites you over for dinner and cooks your favorite meal. You liked it so much that you decided to go get a second helping.

Question: How can you get a "second helping" if you never get a "first helping"?
Answer: It is impossible to get a "second helping" if you never had a "first helping".

Let's notice a few things about the first day of creation:

1. God said, "Let there be light."
2. He divided the light from the darkness.
3. He called the light "good," suggesting that darkness is evil.

J.R. Church in his article on the Millennial-Day Theory writes:

In the beginning of Creation, the Earth was "without form and void. Darkness was upon the face of the deep." There was no disturbance for the continuum of the universe, when suddenly God spoke and the very entrance of His word gave light! It was a disturbance of the continuum, the entrance of an energy source — and it was good!

[...]

The entrance of light into the universe came at the instant God spoke. It was an ACTIVITY issuing from the voice of God. According to scientific definition, there are two possible explanations: First, light could be a disturbance of the continuum. Perhaps it can best be described as the effect one gets when a pebble is dropped into a pond of water. The impact of the pebble upon the pond creates a set of waves, issuing from the point of impact — a disturbance of the continuum.

Light, therefore, is a source of energy. As long as the continuum remains undisturbed, there is no light. Once the continuum is disturbed, however, that energy becomes measurable. Perhaps that is why the Scripture says, "The entrance of thy word giveth light." That is why Jesus, who is the logos, the Word of God, said, "I am the light of the world." The Gospel of John puts it this way:

"In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not" (John 1:4-5).

Did you know that there is far more to light than what you and I actually see? Visible light is a tiny part of the definition of what we call energy. The whole frequency set of energy contains many familiar things like infrared, ultraviolet, x-rays, gamma rays etc. that we can't see. For instance, as J.R. points out elsewhere in his article, you could unroll 40 miles of paper as representing the entire spectrum of energy frequencies, walk down the strip about 30 miles, draw a line with your pencil and that line would be approximate to the range of visible light that you and I can actually see. There is a whole vast other world outside of our range of sight, folks.

However, that should not be surprising to us:

"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." (1 Corinthians 2:9)

Suppose when we get to heaven God gives you eyes that are capable of seeing all of the frequencies of the energy spectrum. That means that you would be able to see the radio waves going through the air as a color. Also, you would be able to see the sounds that come from a piano. We can only hear them at present. What if we get new ears that can hear the entire energy spectrum? What if you could hear the colors?

J.R. continues:

Both time and space are involved in this continuum. It is thought that God can look down upon time as we would look down upon a pond of water. God does not see our continuum as a past, present, and future, but as an eternal now! He can see the end from the beginning. Thus, it is feasible that God could lay out the history of the human race over a predetermined period of 7,000 years. Furthermore, He could tell us what would take place in that part of the continuum we call future.

Therefore, God, who knows the future, could make the first day of Creation to represent the first millennium of human history. "Let there be light [the entrance of activity] ... and it was good."

In like manner, God created Adam and Eve, placed them in a beautiful garden, and gave them a job to do. He told Adam to tend the garden. Be fruitful and multiply. But that’s not all. Just as God divided the light from the darkness, He gave Adam and Eve a choice between good and evil. Over the course of the first millennium (of which Adam lived 930 years) mankind grappled with the question of good and evil.

The events of Day 1 certainly seem predict the events of the millennium of history well.

Day 2

"Then God said, 'Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.' Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day." (Genesis 1:6-8)

What is the spiritual significance of the number 2?

Bullinger writes:

Two affirms that there is a difference—there is another [...]

This difference may be for good or for evil. A thing may differ from evil, and be good; or it may differ from good, and be evil. Hence, the number Two takes a two-fold colouring, according to the context.

It is the first number by which we can divide another, and therefore in all its uses we may trace this fundamental idea of division or difference.

The two may be, though different in character, yet one as to testimony and friendship. The Second that comes in may be for help and deliverance. But, alas! where man is concerned, this number testifies of his fall, for it more often denotes that difference which implies opposition, enmity, and oppression.

When the earth lay in the chaos which had overwhelmed it (Gen 1:2), its condition was universal ruin and darkness. The second thing recorded in connection with the Creation was the introduction of a second thing—Light; and immediately there was difference and division, for God DIVIDED the light from the darkness.

So the second day had division for its great characteristic (Gen 1:6). "Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it DIVIDE the waters from the waters." Here we have Division connected with the second day.

The second of any number of things always bears upon it the stamp of difference, and generally of enmity.

Take the second statement in the Bible. The first is—

Gen 1:1: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."

The second is, "And the earth was [or rather became] without form and void."

Here the first speaks of perfection and of order. The second of ruin and desolation, which came to pass at some time, and in some way, and for some reason which are not revealed.

Day 2 of Creation represents the events of the 2nd millennium of history. God divided the waters from the waters. In this prophetic scenario, we can see the great flood of Noah's day which covered the entire Earth.

"Then God said, 'Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.' Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day." (Genesis 1:6-8).

God divided the firmament, and rain fell on the Earth for forty consecutive days. Something else we should notice is that God did not say that it was good. To the contrary, this was judgment on an unbelieving and unrepentant mankind. This evidence clearly demonstrates that the events of day 2 prophesied the great flood of Noah’s day.

The Millennial-Day Theory (part 1): What Time Is It?

Folks, what you are about to read is a bona fide trip. This article is the first in a multi-part series on the "Millennial-Day Theory" which is a theory that I believe will be proven as fact. I must say up front, however, that this is not a theory that I came up with, but when I was a teenager I did have a notion of it. However, I had no idea just how far the implications of this idea would be evident in our world history.

"Back when I was a kid..."

When I was a teenager, I remember becoming fascinated with 2nd Peter 3:8 which says,

"But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." (2nd Peter 3:8)

I thought to myself, "What a profound statement...what does it mean? The writer obviously places importance on it because he opens by cautioning the reader to 'do not forget this one thing.'"

So, for days and weeks and months I pondered this enigmatic verse of scripture. I kept remembering those sobering words of "do not forget" and the rest of the verse would play over and over inside my head.

"With the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day"??? What on earth did it mean? I mean, it's plainly a matter of the difference between our perspective and the Lord's perspective, but where do we go from there?

So, after I had exhausted what little knowledge I had in my little brain, I decided to do some research (Yes, some people consider me geeky. Get over it!). I started with the bible (where else should I begin researching a biblical topic?). The "thousand year reign of Christ" came to mind, so I looked it up:

"Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while. And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years. Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea." (Revelations 20:1-8)

This "thousand years" is nowhere else found in the Bible except in this one passage where it occurs six times in six consecutive verses. Ok, so what? Any seasoned Christian has heard and knows a little about the "thousand year reign of Christ"--even many non-Christians have heard of it. So, I researched some more.

Next I found something interesting in the Psalms:

"For a thousand years in Your sight are like yesterday when it is past, and like a watch in the night." (Psalm 90:4)

"That compliments 2nd Peter 3:8 perfectly!" I marvelled. Ok, so there were at the very least 2 places in scripture that mentioned the same thing. Driven by my curiosity I labored further in my research.

"One day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day," I pondered. What "day" is this talking about? I already found verses that talked about a "thousand years" (Revelations 20:1-8 remember? Try and keep up, ok?), but what verses might I find concerning a particular "day" or "days"? The first that came to mind was that after Jesus was crucified, He rose again on the 3rd day (Matthew 16:21). Jesus also said "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." (John 2:19)

"If one day is as a thousand years then 3 days is as 3 thousand years???" My little mind fought and tried to subdue the data, but I couldn't reconcile any three thousand year span with any part of history--yet. So, I moved on.

It rained on the earth for forty days and forty nights during the great flood of Noah's day (Genesis 7:12). "Forty thousand years?!?!", the RPM meter in my brain pegged out on that one, so I moved on.

Lastly, I remembered the 6 days of Creation and the 1 day of rest (Sabbath) from Genesis. "7 days as 7 thousand years? Hmmm..." I could feel that there was something to it, but it was just beyond the veil of my understanding. It was as though I were searching in the dark and unknowingly stumbled over what I was looking for but failed to recognize the value of it.

"Like the sands of the hourglass..."

A few years later, I still thought about 2nd Peter 3:8, but as far as I was concerned, I had ran into a brick wall. No new ideas or leads came to mind, but I felt there was still significance to it. Something there was highly important--I could smell it.

Then a friend of mine asked me if I was interested in watching a seminar on evolution and creation. I had never heard about any of the scholarly debates on the subject (although I had debated the two and tried to make them agree in my mind), but I was interested in hearing a new perspective on the subject. Perhaps I would gain a new angle from where I could reconcile the two viewpoints. So, I gladly accepted my friend's offer. He said that he would make me a copy, but not to worry because it is not copyrighted material and the guy in the seminar says so in his seminar.

The presenter is a man by the name of Dr. Kent Hovind, and I quickly became a big fan of his. This guy removed my blindfold and allowed me to see the world for what it was. I ended-up watching all of his seminar series (about 12 hours worth). You can watch his presentation entitled "The Age of the Earth" which is the first seminar in his series by clicking here.

If you don't have time to watch the video (I know...it's 2 hours long, but well worth it), then read the short summary below by David V. Bassett in his work entitled "Biblical Age of Earth" and you will quickly understand how the entire timeline of world history (past and future) is mapped-out through genealogy and events recorded in the bible:

Beginning with the archeological landmark event of the fall of Jerusalem (which has now been corrected to 588 B.C., instead of 586-587 B.C.) and counting backwards the prophesied number of years between this event and the division of Solomon's kingdom (390 yrs. + 40 yrs., according to Ezekiel 4:4-7), brings us to 1018 B.C.

From the end of Solomon's 40-year reign to the start of the Temple in the 4th year of his reign takes us back another 37 years to 1055 B.C.

From the start of Solomon's Temple "in the 480th year" (1 Kings 6:1) back to the Exodus from Egypt (hence 479 years previous) brings us to near 1534 B.C.

From the Exodus out of Egypt to Abraham's entering Canaan from Haran was exactly 430 years to the day (Gen 12:10/ Exodus 12:40/ Gal 3:17), thus around 1964 B.C.

Since Abraham entered Canaan at age 75 (Gen 12:4), he was born approximately 2039 B.C.

From Abraham's birth to Noah's grandson (Shem's son), Arpachshad's birth, 2 years after the Flood started, was 290 years (Gen 11:11-26), this places the onset of the Flood at around 2331 B.C. [definitely 4,300-4,400 years ago].

The genealogy of Genesis 5:3-32 precludes any gaps due to its tight chronological structure and gives us 1,656 years between Creation and the Flood, thus bringing Creation Week back to near 3987 B.C. or approximately 4000 B.C.

Therefore, the biblical age of the Earth (using Scripture itself as a guide) is 6,000 years !! Mankind did not evolve 4 million years ago on an Earth which is 4.5 billion years old in a universe which was "big-banged" into existence 18-20 billion years in the distant past. Jesus Christ, the Creator Incarnate, said He made mankind male and female in the beginning (Mark 10:6), and that when the heavens and the earth were commanded into being (Gen 1:1), they "stood up together" (Isa 48:13) not billions of years apart !!

If you watched the video, then you will remember the part where Dr. Kent Hovind maps out the history timeline based on the the geneaologies listed in Genesis (you know, the long list of names that goes on and on about "Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob , blah blah blah") and forward from there. He demonstrates that the earth is about 6,000 years old and backs it up with true, tried, and tested science.

My mind went into overdrive (you know me). "Jesus said that the end times will be like the days of Noah....there will be 'wars and rumors or wars'...'nation will rise against nation'...'earthquakes in various places'...'famines and troubles'. That sounds a lot like (gulp) NOW!" I thought.

"So, if about 6,000 years ago God created everything, then that means that the 1,000 year reign of Christ would not be far off..." so spinned the wheels in my mind and then all of the sudden...whoa...

WHOA!!!

That's it! God laid out His plan in the beginning! "In the beginning"...LITERALLY!

"...with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." (2nd Peter 3:8)

God created the world in 6 literal days and rested on day 7. Seven days = seven thousand years. Six days of work to complete Creation = six thousand years of work. The seventh day was God's day of rest (the Sabbath) = the seven thousandth year of this world will be the "thousand year reign of Christ" when Satan will be locked up and we can REST!

The final piece of the puzzle was now in place, but that did not mean that my research was over. Oh no...not by a longshot. As a matter of fact, I am still researching it now almost 20 years later and the phenomenon has not ceased. The implications of our history and future in the light of this information is mind boggling to say the least. The effects of this knowledge reverberate deeply, and the blueprint of our Lord's timeline makes the urgency of life so clear. Shortly after that revelation, I learned that others had discovered this before me and coined the phrase "Millenial-Day Theory" as a common topic of discussion on this subject.

To my amazement, there were not only others who shared my view about the "Millenial-Day Theory", but many of the early theologians also believed that Christ would return 6,000 years after the world was created! Just check out this small sampling of ancient writings:

Irenaeus, one of the early Church fathers, was born in A.D. 140, worked intensely against powerful Gnostic heresies and wrote a treatise on the virtues of the Christian faith. Among his writings was found this statement:

"For in as many days as this world was made, in so many thousand years shall it be concluded. And for this reason the Scripture says: "Thus the heaven and the earth were finished, and all their adornment. And God brought to a conclusion upon the sixth day the works that He had made; and God rested upon the seventh day from all His works." This is an account of the things formerly created, as also it is a prophecy of what is to come. For the day of the Lord is as a thousand years; and in six days created things were completed: it is evident, therefore, that they will come to an end at the sixth thousand year."

Irenaeus’ testimony is extremely valuable because he had studied under Polycarp, bishop of Smyrna. Polycarp who was martyred in AD 156, having been a Christian for 86 years, was a disciple of the Apostle John and “always taught what he learned from the apostles” (Irenaeus, “Against Heretics,” in “Early Father,” p. 90).

According to Irenaeus (one among many who held this view) the history of the human race from creation to the consummation will span a 7,000 year period of time. The seventh millennium is to be the reign of Christ. Irenaeus was not alone in his belief. There are several other ancient writings that concur. Among them are The Secrets of Enoch, the Epistle of Barnabas, the Testament of Adam and other writings of early Jewish theologians.

The Secrets of Enoch, dating from before the first century A.D. (also called II Enoch), is translated from Slavonic. In it, God is said to have shown Enoch the age of the world and its allotted 7,000 year total timespan:

"And I appointed the eighth day also, that the eighth day should be the first-created after my work, and that the first seven revolve in the form of the seventh thousand, and that at the beginning of the eighth thousand there should be a time of not-counting — endless..."

The "Epistle of Barnabas" was discovered bound together as one volume with a group of the New Testament books, to be bound in a single folder called Sinaiticus. The discovery was made in 1844 AD in monastery of Saint Catherine located at the foot of Mount Sinai. Dating back to at least the fourth century AD, this writing reflects the theology of some early Christian theologians:

"And God made in six days the works of his hands, and finished them on the seventh day, and rested in it and sanctified it. Consider, my children, what signify the words, He finished them in six days. They mean this: that in six thousand years the Lord will make an end of all things, for a day is with him as a thousand years. And he himself beareth witness unto me, saying: Behold this day a day shall be as a thousand years. Therefore, my children, in six days, that is in six thousand years, shall all things be brought to an end. And the words, He rested on the seventh day, signify this: After that his Son hath come, and hath caused to cease the time of the wicked one, and hath judged the ungodly, and changed the sun and the moon and the stars, then shall he rest well on the seventh day."

The Testament of Adam

The "Testament of Adam" was writting in the middle or late third century. In the document, the life of the world is said to last for 6,000 years after the Flood of Noah. Which would mean a toal 7,000 years from Creation. Seth, the supposed writer is said to have written about the account from Adam's (his father's) deathbed.

"I (also) learned, my son Seth, that a Flood will come and purge the entire earth on account of the descendants of Cain your brother. Because of (his) jealousy for Lebuda your sister, he murdered your brother Abel. Similarly, due to your mother Eve, sins came into existence. And after the Flood, the years for the (continued) appearance of the world will be 6000 years. And then its end will come."

Talmudic Writings

Published in 1976, Rabbi Ben Zion Wacholder quoted a statement from the ancient Talmud quaoted the Talmud in an article entitled "Chronomessianism" which said, "Just as the seventh offers a release to the Jew, so the world will be released during the seventh millennium."

In the Talmud, written in the second century A.D., the following is recorded: "The world is to stand 6,000 years, viz., 2,000 confusion and void, 2,000 with the law, and 2,000 the time of the Messiah." The rabbis predicted that the seventh millennium was to be the "exhaltation of Messiah." At the recording of this prediction, the rabbis acknowledged that the third 2,000-year period but where was the Messiah? Thsi question was answered in the same passage: "He did come, but because of our sins, he went away." A rabbi from the 11th century named Rashi said that after the second 2,000 years, the Messiah must have come and the wicked kingdom should have been destroyed. At approximately the same time of Rashi's writing, Bar Kochba led the Jews to rebel against the Roman authority (132-135 A.D.). In their desparation for a Messiah and their reluctance to admit that Jesus was the actual Messiah, they falsely declared Bar Kochba as their Messiah by the "father of the Mishnah," Rabbi Akiva, but their false messiah was killed by the Romans. The rebellion was destroyed by the Romans, Israel was trampled, and the Jews were vanquished from their land and sold into slavery throughout the world.

According to these early theologians, seven thousand years of world history are in some way linked to the seven days of creation. The seven days were thought prophetically to represent seven thousand years of world history.

"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up" (2nd Peter 3:10).

The "day of the Lord" suggests the Sabbath millennium--the seventh millennium of human history. It will begin with a thief in the night and be 1,000 years in length. After that, "the heavens pass away and the elements melt with fervent heat." The book of Revelation concurs with the viewpoint. After the 1,000 year reign of Christ, God will create "a new heaven and a new Earth" (Revelation 21:1) "wherein dwelleth righteousness" (2nd Peter 3:13).

And we can go on and on and on with various scriptures in the Bible. Check for yourself. These things amazingly seem to add up!

I must admit that I relied heavily on the work of the folks at Prophecy in the News. J.R. Church had published an article also entitled "The Millennial-Day Theory", but at present time, they are renovating their website and that article cannot be accessed. However, I did not want you to miss the blessing of their research, so I posted some of it here. I have always enjoyed reading their work and have always found myself in awe of their findings. Please visit their website at www.prophecyinthenews.com, and I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. I cannot say enough about the fine work that God fulfills through their organization.

My next few articles will be a glimpse as to what I and others have discovered and we explore the timeline that the Lord has designed. You won't want to miss it.

Oh yeah...

I almost forgot. Remember earlier in the article when I was talking about when Jesus rose again on the 3rd day, but I couldn't reconcile any three thousand year span with any part of history? The thousand year reign of Christ is the 3rd day. If 0-1000 AD is the 1st day, than 1000-2000 AD is the 2nd day, and 2000-3000 AD would be the 3rd day. Read Revelations chapter 21 to see what happens after that. Fascinating stuff!

I'm tired, man...real tired.

I'm tired of watching, tired of waiting, tired of sitting on "go".

I've been here many times before. It's all too familiar. This is the part right before I go off. And everytime that happens, it is worse than the last time it happened.

Ummm, do you have any idea how crazy you sound right now?

Yes...I do. Mmmmkay?

(cue the awkward silence)

I've always been a very observant person. I tend to notice trends in individuals and group behavior which, I must say, has steered me away from trouble more than a few times. It's like I see what people are doing and talking about now and based on that I visualize what they will be doing and saying later. It also works in reverse...I can observe people that I have just met and see how they became the way that they are now. Do I do this all of the time? No. I run into far too many people, and I don't have the time and I certainly don't have the inclination. The gosh-awful truth is that some people are just not that interesting to me. I'm sorry, but it's true. Those plastic thugs hanging out on the corner with their pants just one be-bop away from being around their ankles? Mullet-man (the shirtless version) with his sidekick main squeeze Betty Lou, gun rack in the back with the rebel flag tint? Or how about Ken and "Buffy" with the v-necks tied at the waist pushing the stroller through the organic park on their Segways? Yeah, uhh, no. People like that would be hilarious if they weren't so tragic.

I know what you're thinking ("Gosh, he's so F-I-N-E!"...no? Dang, ok...) and, no, I can't predict when someone will die, how many fingers you're holding up, or the winning lottery numbers, but a few remarkable things have happened. However, I can't pat myself on the back for it. While some predictions seem to just be the result of me considering the situation, the people involved, their past actions, and coming up with a logical judgement call, there have also been times where it is blatantly obvious that the prediction did not come from me. And what about the times where I have received info in advance, but I was only able to realize what it meant after the event actually occurred. However, my absolute worst experiences have been when information had been withheld from me which caused others and/or myself to suffer because of it.

For example...


Back when I was still in public school, there was this kid my age that lived a few houses down on my block. We'll say his name is "Lowell". Well, Lowell and I had been friends at one time but had bumped heads and weren't exactly on each others Christmas list.

I was walking down the street one day and Lowell called me out. I don't remember exactly what he said, but it was enough that I couldn't just walk away. I'm a "Rayburn", folks...and a "Rayburn" don't just walk away (some kind of mental defect I think). Anyway, I walked over to him, words were exchanged, things quickly escalated, and it was on.

He never hit me. Oh, he was swinging, but he didn't hit anything but the air. I ducked, dodged, and avoided everything that he had. That cat was launchin' some mad bricks. And it wasn't because he didn't know what he was doing. That dude had some moves on him. I mean, he wasn't no Bruce Lee or even a Bruce Leroy, but this wasn't his first time to throw down.

So...what happened? I anticipated Lowell's every move, and I mean his EVERY move. It was a trip! Before he would move, a preview of what he was about to do flashed through my mind giving me time to react well in advance. I ducked, he swung at the air. I moved left, he lunged to my right. At the time, that whole moment seemed almost dream-like. And to top it all off, I never even tried to fight that dude. I could have taken advantage of my situation, but I didn't. Man, I could have really messed that dude up.

Anyway, after he wore himself out shadow boxing he looked at me and all he could do was yell, "JUST GET OUT OF HERE!" So, I laughed right there in front of me, turned my back on him, and walked off. That dude even tried to hit me with a rock after I walked off about 75 feet away, and it would have hit me if I had not already seen it coming--my back still turned to him.

I know that whole thing really stung his pride. A few months later he started spreading the word that he had been working out, sparring, and he wanted another shot. I didn't even pay him no mind. I had done worse to him than beat him down when I showed that he couldn't win even if I didn't throw a punch.

But in my darkest hour...


2007: Everything was great. I had just spent a wonderful Christmas vacation with my daughter, got a new job, and anxiously awaiting the arrival of my wedding day. All things seemed to be running along in harmony and tuned to my happiness. I was cruising the freshly laid asphalt of East Street with a crystal blue sky and the top down. There was nothing visible on my horizon to stand in my way...until I realized that I was in the oncoming lane.

I'm not going to get into the particulars as to who and why because I don't want to risk reopening old wounds with anyone, but basically here is how it went:

On my wedding day, we had no more than said "I do" and family trouble started--at our wedding reception. There was no shame and no regard to respect in how we were treated by this person--we'll call him "Manard". I couldn't figure out why or where it was all coming from, but it didn't stop there. When we got home, it continued right where we left off. For days and months it persisted. Arguing, crying fussing, and fighting. THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE HAPPIEST TIME OF OUR LIVES! But Manard made certain to make it the most miserable time of our lives and because of my acquaintance with Manard, I was being forced to find another place to live. However, my finances at the time left me seriously limited on my options.

"Why did I not see this coming? How could Manard had hidden their motives from me so well?" and other similar questions remained unanswered for months. On top of it all, everyone but my wife and my sister had forgotten my birthday. I've never felt so alone and unloved in my whole life.

One night, I couldn't sleep and I ended-up curling up on the bed with my wife while crying uncontrollably like a baby. The whole time I just kept repeating over and over to her, "I am sorry. I am so sorry. I am so sorry that I got you into all of this. I'm trying to fix this, but I can't. I don't know what to do. I am so sorry." She tried to comfort me and tell me that everything was ok, but I knew that kind words weren't going to solve anything. Things had to change, and in a hurry. Something had to give and there was no hope.

That was the only time in my life when serious thoughts of suicide had ever entered my mind. I can remember specifically crying while I prayed to God and saying, "Just take me now, God. Please just take me now." My rationale said that if God took me, then I would go to Heaven and my wife could get the life insurance money and have a better life. I had always thought that anyone who considered suicide had to have some kind of mental condition. Never had I imagined in my wildest dreams that I would be driven to this point. My two options were: (1) pray to and trust in God or (2) end it all. There was no other way.

About two months later, I'd had enough and it all came to a head. I found myself yelling and screaming at Manard like I had never done to anyone else. I have beaten the ever-loving crap out of people and been less mad. Manard had better be glad that my respect for one other individual was greater than my anger--that's all I have to say.

Furthermore, my wife and I found ourselves without a place to live, but that's when things started looking up. My sister, brother-in-law, and nephew opened up their home and lives to my wife and I. I thank God for them! May God always bless them. When we had nowhere else to go, they allowed themselves to be used by God to provide for us. I will never forget the sacrifices that they made for us, and I will always be grateful for them and for God. I shudder to think of what may have become of my wife and I had we not had such Christ-like and God-fearing people like my sister and her family in our lives. As long as I have anything that they need, then they will not go without.

About two years later, my wife and I were in our own home. We were back on our feet. Our relationship with Manard slowly became restored. Most importantly, I gained a greater appreciation for God.

I said all of the above to say THIS!


I firmly believe that God allows me to know what He wants me to know and when I need to know it. He will also keep me from knowing things that I would want to know when it is better that I do not know.

God revealed all of Manard's motives to me and why he did what he did. All of it was selfish, and I have prayed for Manard so much. I even fasted for him on several occasions. Not that I think that I am more spiritual than anyone or closer to God than others--I know that I am certainly not. I just wanted to illustrate how much I still care for Manard even though he did all of those things to us. I forgive Manard. How can I do that, you ask? I have a better question: How can I not? With all that Jesus willingly endured, the beatings, the ridicule, being tortured, torn to shreds, nailed to a cross lifted up high on a hill between two thieves so as to humiliate Him in front of the world and HE FORGAVE THEM! If Jesus did all of that willingly (He could have stopped it at any time) so that I could be forgiven by God the Father, then who am I to withhold my forgiveness from anyone? Only a fool will not forgive.

Two things kept me from following through with suicide: (1) I did not want to leave my wife in that predicament and (2) Romans 8:28.

"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28)

Not only that, I know why God allowed all of those things to happen to me and my wife, but I won't post it here. Like everyone else, I am a sinner and I had fallen back into my sin. I was not paying attention to the things I was supposed to and taking care of the things that God had placed into my charge the way that I was supposed to. IT WAS ME WHO WAS SELFISH! And I still am to some degree, but God is dealing with it in my life now that I am open to improvement and that is why I can say that I thank God for all things--even tragedy.

Back to my original point
(way up at the top of this article)


During my late teen years, God allowed tragedy in my life and recalibrated my attention. By my early 20's, I was so thirsty for the knowledge of God. I can remember many times my prayers would include something like, "Please, Father, give me a discerning heart to determine between good and evil--even when evil masks itself as good and good can be mistaken for evil. Please place inside of me a 'want' to know your knowledge and wisdom." And man did He! The Lord has allowed me to learn so many things. I often feel like I see the world from a unique persepctive because of it. I'm not trying to brag or anything here, I'm just stating what has happened. I asked God for something, sought it out, and He gave it to me--overwhelmingly!

I mean, how could anyone not help but look at the world differently after they've been made aware of things largely unknown by the greater part of society because they discarded it or never considered it? Not only that, but since I tend to notice trends in individuals and group behavior, my mind naturally tries to piece all of these things together in an attempt to figure out what is coming next.

No matter how much God allows me to know, I also know that the vast majority of people that I try to explain these things to do not understand what I am talking about. More to the point, when I start talking about the 6-day creation, the Annunaki and how they relate to the Book of Enoch, the Greek meaning of 666, and the Gog/Magog Invasion (coming soon to a tv near you, by the way), people react normally in one of three ways: (1) they look at me like a worm just bored it's way out of my forehead, (2) their brains completely shut down and resort to "ok, yeah, and uh-huh" for the rest of their part of the convo, or (3) a very small portion are interested and want to contirbute and/or learn more.

So, in order to not lose a whole lot of people. I simply point out what is happening in current events and how it relates to Bible prophecy. It's simple, to the point, and people grasp it a whole lot quicker.

Ok, but why are you so tired?


Ok, ok...

In a nutshell, I'm tired of standing watch. I am tired of standing on this wall and seeing the enemy preparing for the attack. I'm tired of cleaning my weapon in anticipation of using it. I'm tired of all this "horse and pony show" happening inside the walls that I stand on while watching the hordes of lean and hungry combatants gathering outside of the wall just on the other side of the perimeter.

I'm tired of sounding the alarm and no one listening. I'm tired of standing alone. I'm tired of the disbelieving and ridiculing people that I am standing on this wall for. It's as though I am standing on this wall between two enemies: those goading me from the inside and those preparing to destroy us from the outside--and I'm tired of it.

Frustration threatens to overwhelm me. Only one instance in my life can I make a comparison of this to. When I was in the U.S. Army, I was stationed overseas on a 1-year tour. I was assigned to the "most forwardly deployed unit in the world" at that time. We were always within reach of the enemy. So much so that we were constantly placed on "alert" which means that we had to drop whatever we were doing, grab our gear, and be ready for combat. This would happen over and over. There was no time when it might not happen. What made it worse was that the people that we were there to defend mocked and hated us. There were a small few who seemed to appreciate what we were doing for them, but the majority was as vicious as the enemy. At that time, I was caught between two enemies...and I was tired of it.

One night at about o'dark-thirty, the division was awakened for an alert. I got into full battle rattle and grabbed my weapon. For hours we remained at the ready for anything, then, at about daylight, the alert was called off. Our company commander explained that the alert was called because an enemy soldier had been spotted trying to cross the perimeter. We shot and killed him because he would not drop his weapon as ordered. The guy was probably just trying to defect, but we didn't know it. So, we killed him because he wouldn't drop his weapon.

Let me say that again--he wouldn't drop his weapon. And that is the whole reason why we were on alert at "OH MY GOSH IT'S EARLY" in the morning! This one person got up and decided to die in the middle of the night just to piss me off!

I lost it. In the general direction of where this guy tried to cross, I walked--hearing the hollow thud of my kevlar helmet as I bounced it off of the ground. I was chunking gear off of me all around, but firmly holding onto my M-16. The whole time I was rattling off a barrage of cuss words, threats, and otherwise derogatory comments at the top of my lungs in the general direction of where I perceived the enemy to be. I was so tired of everything that if I could start a fight with the enemy and get this thing started, then let's go.

"COME ON! LET'S GET IT ON AND GET THIS OVER WITH! IF IT WEREN'T FOR YOU, I'D BE BACK HOME ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD RIGHT NOW WHERE I AM SUPPOSED TO BE!!!" was probably the most socially acceptable words to come out of my mouth at that time.

Of course, eventually I settled down, but it felt good to vent. After some time, I reflected on the whole situation. I thought about that enemy soldier. That guy had a family and while he wasn't as far away from his family as I was, he probably didn't get to see them either. Maybe he'd had a moment just like I did where he'd had enough and wanted to confront the enemy no matter the consequences.

Maybe he was "tired" too.

Planning For The Rapture

Feeling lonely?

A smart person, whether saved or not, should have a plan for the Rapture of the Church before it takes place.

The best plan, of course, is to be saved prior to that happening. However, for those of you (atheists, muslims, hindus, & etc.) that are not willing to admit that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died as a sacrifice for your sins, then you need to plan ahead. I don't mean just for the Gog/Magog invasion or the coming of the antichrist, but also the immediate future after the Rapture. I am talking about the first few minutes, hours, and days after the Rapture happens.

Think about it. How many believers may be driving big rigs at that time?? What happens when that big 18-wheeler traveling 70+ miles per hour is suddenly unmanned by the Rapture??? Approximately 70,000 pounds of truck, trailer, and cargo will be barreling, out of control, down the highway left to chance at where it will finally stop. How about your bedroom at 3am? Something to think about...

Or let's consider if the pilot and co-pilot of your airplane flight across the country are believers? Then all of the sudden...WOOSH!...and they're gone? Where will the plane crash? What about you and the people on board? What about the destruction on the ground? How many of the firefighters and police officers are believers that are assigned to the area of the crash?

As many destructive possibilities can occur as the mind can ponder...and this will go on for days and months as people realize that they relied on certain people to be in critical positions at certain times to ensure that things were handled on-time and in a proper manner.

Just consider this...do you know how to maintain a dam that holds back tons of water and prevents the flooding of the below communities? Do you know how to properly maintain a nuclear missile silo? What if you have a "rectifier fail" alarm at the central office of your local telephone company when the commercial power goes out? Do you know what a "rectifier fail" alarm is???



...and that's just the beginning...

"You are the salt of the earth," Jesus said in Matthew 5:13.

What is salt? It is used for flavoring, but was first used as preservative. People used to (and still do) preserve their meats using salt. If the salt is removed, then what happens? Rotting, putrid meat is what happens. Only good for the filthiest of animals (vultures, maggots, crustaceans, & etc.).

Likewise, if the Christians (the salt) are removed from the earth (the meat), then what do you have? Chaos, despair, and fear will reign. The world will have lost, for the most part, it's moral compass. You won't have those pesky Christians to protest abortion, gay marriage, pot smoking, child prostitution, and the like. It will be like the dam busting loose. Not only will abortions, gay marriage, and "what-not" be tolerated--it will be encouraged. And worse...do you wish that you never gave birth to your teenager? Blam! Blam! Blam!...problem solved. Want to marry Fido? Get a four-legged tuxedo. Or maybe you're not ready to commit. Just have an ecological orgy. Everything is free game. Young, old, human, animal, plant...kill'em, eat'em, make-out with'em, dry'em out and smoke'em. Because who knows? You might be next. Kill or be killed will be the rule.

What if you are raptured and your child is not? Who will he/she look to for protection and provisions? The answer: whoever is left behind. Maybe they're nice. Maybe they're child-molesters. Maybe they're cannibals...

So what's the plan?

Become a survivalist or become friends with a survivalist (even if they are a believer), then you will know where they keep their stash. Don't worry about being accused of thievery, if your survivalist friend is a believer, then they won't need it where they are going.

Food, water, guns, ammo, and protection from the elements. Oh, and if you don't have a gun or ammo, you can have mine. I don't plan on being here.

Or you could just become a believer and forego all of this. Just read the column at the right-hand of your screen and get saved. It's much better than being tracked by a rapist cannibal...trust me.

So...What Happened on May 23rd?

Saying what DIDN'T happen might be easier...

Well, I know that one thing did not happen--I did not spend all day scanning and analyzing news reports to see what actually happened that day.

Why? Because my dad and uncle were helping me cut down some trees in my yard and working in my garden.

Couldn't you have done that on another day? Yes, but when people are offering to help you and not charge you anything for their work, then you should operate on their schedule or else you may not have any help. Besides, this is my dad and my uncle (dad's brother), and if they're ready to work, then I am too.

But didn't you wonder what was happening in the world? Ooooooooh yes. All day long as a matter of fact. I even mentioned to my dad that this was the day that I had in my dream. I had told him about the dream a few weeks prior.

I'll tell you what happened to me on May 23rd, 2009: We cut down a tree that took the corner of the roof off of my house!

I couldn't believe it. We had planned it all out and figured that we should have no trouble--or so it seemed. Well, the tree came down and so did part of my roof. So, I guess you know what happened on May 24th, right? Yep, we were all back out there: dad, uncle, and me were repairing the roof. Actually, I think it's in better shape now than it was before the tree pulverized it. Believe me, I would have much rather been scanning news reports than agonizing over how to explain to my wife how part of the roof of the house was now on the front lawn.

Long story short (too late), I have only now had an opportunity to see what happened on and around May 23rd, and here is what I've found so far:

Koehler was re-elected as Germany's president on May 23rd.

Ban Ki Moon (United Nations Secretary General) paid a visit to Sri Lanka on May 23rd asking for relief agencies to have access to the refugee camps there.

On May 23rd: Former South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun committed suicide.

Muslim, Jewish and Christian leaders gathered on May 23rd at the Riverdale Jewish Center where the terrorist plot was foiled, and the so-called imam named Konaté said, "The Quran gives no permission to kill in the name of Allah" <--blah! Don't get me wrong, I am glad that those four goofs weren't able to carry out their violent plan, but the fact that this imam would claim that his book doesn't promote killing in the name of his god stupefies me. Either the guy knows that it does and lied, or he hasn't read the book. However, the most interesting part is that this event is being showcased as three major world religions "coming together" against terrorism. Look for more of this in the future. Just check out the intentions of the Theosophical Society.

I was astonished to find out that the world would propose dividing Jerusalem on the same day that Israel memorializes the reunification of Jerusalem (ie: "Jerusalem Day"). My gosh! Have they no respect whatsoever for God or His nation???

On May 24, Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu defied Obama (to my joy) and said that Israel will continue building existing settlements.

North Korea conducted a nuclear weapons test on May 25, 2009.

On May 25th, Iran sent six warships into international waters and the Gulf of Aden region in a historically unprecedented move by the Iranian Navy.

Oh, and the conjunctions of Neptune, Jupiter, and Chiron began.

So, I'd like to tell you of the definite conclusions that I have drawn from all of this. So far? Not much...

Really...the above events, taken just as they are, look to me to just be evidence of the steady progression towards the one world government led by the antichrist into the tribulation period. You can look at the news on any given day of this century and find that same kind of evidence. So far, I see nothing about May 23, 2009 that stands out as being significant to the context of my dream. Yes, some significant things happened that day, but nothing that make me say, "YES! That's what my dream was all about!"

I mean, I guess if I were a real conspiracy nut, I could say, "Du-u-u-u-ude, Germany (the birthplace of Nazism no less) re-elected their president on May 23rd..." but I don't think that I have enough evidence to say something like that backs up my dream being valid.

Or I could go on and on and on about the three religious leaders of different religions getting together to denounce terrorism, but there's just not that much there for me to run with.

Netanyahu dissing Obama about the settlements could be good fodder. I mean, Bibi (Netanyahu) said it on May 24 in Israel which means it could have still been May 23 here in the western hemisphere, right? Oh stop it! That's just too desperate...

All I can really say folks, is that if something significant happened on May 23rd, then I must have missed it. Perhaps something significant did indeed happen but won't be realized until later? Or, maybe my dream was just the result of random thoughts from my overactive imagination while I slept which would mean, I must admit, that yours truly foolishly pursued it...or was it so foolish?

Well, I don't plan to give up on this just yet. Even in today's 24-hour headline news society, news doesn't always hit the newsstands the same day that it occurs. I'll just keep my eyes and ears open for now.

Here are a few of other interesting tidbits that I found...

Did you know that an image of a "crown of thorns" in space was captured by the Hubble Space Telescope and reported by Fox News on 4/8/09 exactly 4 days prior to Easter Sunday (4/12/09)? So, if Easter on 4/12/09 represents the day that Christ resurrected from the dead, and He was in the grave for the 3 preceding days (4/9/09-4/11/09), then 4/8/09 would represent the day that Jesus had the crown of thorns placed on His head and was crucified! (See John, Chapter 10) Am I the only one that sees the connection here??

Also, an image of a "giant hand reaching across space" was captured by a NASA observatory and reported by Fox News on 4/7/09. Some say that it could represent the hand of Christ.

If you make a negative image of it, then you can see where the puncture wound from the nail which held Him to the cross would be. Not sure what biblical implications this might propose...we need a "wise man" to interpret these things.

On 2/25/09, telegraph.co.uk reported that European astronomers snapped a picture of a “Big Brother-style cosmic eye” that they nicknamed the “Eye of God”.

On 2/4/09, a "green comet" (named "Lulin") made it's closest approach to Earth on 2/4/09 and was seen over Jerusalem. Revelations says the fourth horseman rides a pale green horse! Swine flu is being called an epidemic...coincidence? Gary Stearman's article about this (Read it here) says, "...in the spring of A.D. 70, Flavius Josephus reported a star/comet that looked like a sword hanging over Jerusalem for about a year...[and] continued listing a series of strange events in the spring of A.D. 70..."

Gary then recounts the strange events that Josephus recorded that year (70 AD):

Lights around the altar?

A heifer bringing forth a lamb in the midst of the temple as it was being lead to be sacrificed?

Chariots and soldiers (UFO's?) running in the clouds in the sky??

You know, I wish I were as smart as Daniel the prophet or Joseph the son of Jacob. Both of those dudes could interpret dreams. Of course, they were both able to interpret dreams because God made it possible. I just don't have that gift, and I really wish that I did. I mean when Daniel or Joseph interpreted a dream, they were dead-on 100% accurate. I bet I could interpret that dream that I had if I were blessed as a dream interpreter.

Or if I can't be a dream interpreter, then I wish I were as smart as those "wise men" from the east that saw the "star of Bethlehem" and knew without any doubt that the Messiah had been born. Their confidence was impeccable. I bet I could tell what the conjunctions of Jupiter, Neptune, and Chiron meant if I were blessed as a reader of the "signs in the sky".

Alas, I have not been blessed in either of those ways and maybe never will be. I guess there's no harm in dreaming about it.

What Happens on May 23, 2009?

You know, for about a year now, I've been telling folks that I don't think we have much time left for this world. Based on my layman's reading of the Holy Bible, the front page of the newspapers are looking a lot like the last pages of the New Testament. The more I research, the more evidence I find that the prophetic clock is still steadily ticking away.

There will be "wars and rumors of wars," Jesus said. Famine, pestilence, natural calamities are kicking our doors in. Apostasy is rampant. Israel's enemies are in constant preparation to attack. The "mark of the beast" is being completed and has been tested for quite some time.

Then a few weeks ago (I don't remember the exact night), I had a dream that I can only label as strange. I want to recount what I remember of it for you now:

THE DREAM

I was exiting some bushes to where my church house was located. I could see the church as I cleared the bushes, and I remember being surprised to find out that a childhood friend, we'll call him Alan, of mine was the pastor there. I was a little dismayed because I always felt that Alan was not a very good influence on my life when we were kids, and I wondered if he had changed. As I approached the church house, someone (I don't know who) stopped me and pointed to the sky and said, "look." So I looked in the direction that this person was pointing, and I saw a blimp hovering in the sky. On the side of the blimp was written:

"Announcing:

The U.N.'s Messiah!

May 23, 2009!"

After reading that, I remember thinking to myself, "A messiah for the United Nations? That would have to be the anti-christ".

AFTER MY DREAM

I marked that date on my calendar so I would remember it. Then I started searching for events that are planned on or around May 23, 2009, and I found a few interesting things:

1) Astronomers and astrologers are closely watching this date because it is the beginning of the conjunctions of Jupiter, Neptune, and Chiron. Now, I personally don't put faith in New Age Astrology, but wise men in the past knew how to interpret these types of things.

2) May 23, 2009 falls on a "Sabbath Day" just after "Ascension Day" (May 21, 2009) and "Jerusalem Day" (May 22, 2009).

3) There is a new moon on May 24, 2009.

4) Pentecost (the birth of the church) is celebrated on May 31, 2009.

Now, I am not so cavalier to proclaim that "God gave me a dream and this is what it means". Why? Because I don't know that God gave me this dream, and I don't know what the exact meaning is. Of course, had God, or one of His angels (Gabriel perhaps) had come to me and said, "Martin, the dream you had is about events that will soon happen and this is what it means..." then I would have no problem telling you that "God gave me a dream and this is what it means".

But that didn't happen! Believe me, I have prayed to God many times about this one dream. It has been over a month since I had the dream, and it just sticks with me. More times than I can remember, I have asked God to let me know if this dream is from Him or not and what I should do with it. I can't stop thinking about it. The more I research on it, the more I find. The more I find, the more I am perplexed. There's really only two possibilities: either it's true or it's not. However, determining which possibility is correct has become highly elusive.

Joseph had two dreams, and they came true (Genesis 37:5-11). The cup-bearer and the baker had dreams (Genesis 40:5-23), and they came true. Pharaoh had a dream (Genesis 41:1-8), and it came true. Nebuchadnezzar had a dream, and it came true (Daniel 2:1-49).

Does that mean that my dream will come true? No.

So, since I don't have an option to tell you whether it is true or not, then I figured that I would share my research with you and allow you to decide for yourself.

THE CONJUNCTION

On May 23, 2009, Jupiter, Neptune, and a "planetoid" named Chiron will conjunct. You can go to any search engine like Google or Yahoo and type in the words "May 23 2009 Jupiter Neptune Chiron" and they will find you many articles (most secular...I do not recommend that you take their interpretations seriously) stating that this conjunction will occur.

About two thousand years ago, another conjunction occurred. J.R. Church tells an amazing story (Read the full article here) of this conjunction:

"Some years ago, I had tracked Jupiter's movements around the time of the birth of Christ and saw the first of a triple conjunction between Jupiter and Regulus, beginning on Rosh Hashanah, the new moon of September 11, 3 B.C. Jupiter continued its forward movement for a few months, then returned in a retrograde movement for a second conjunction on February 13, 2 B.C. Jupiter continued backing up for a few months, then started forward again and encountered its third conjunction with Regulus on May 8, 2 B.C...This convinced me that Jesus was born on Rosh Hashanah, 3 B.C."

So, we can say that conjunction in the heavens do have significance.


WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT JUPITER?

Well, "earlier civilizations considered Jupiter to be a 'sign of the messiah.'"


WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT NEPTUNE?

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find much about what the ancients had to say about Neptune, but some suggest that Neptune represents illusion, "divine amnesia," and inspiration. I won't claim any of these yet as being true concerning Neptune as it does not come from biblical-based sources.


WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT CHIRON (CHEIRON)?

According to E.W. Bullinger, Chiron (Cheiron) is the Greek name for Centaurus. Below is a sample of his research:

"It is the figure of a being with two natures. Jamieson, in his Celestial Atlas, 1822, says, 'On the authority of the most accomplished Orientalist of our own times, the Arabic and Chaldaic name of this constellation is Bezeh.' Now this Hebrew word Bezeh (and the Arabic Al Beze) means the despised. It is the very word used of this Divine sufferer in Isaiah 53:3, 'He is DESPISED and rejected of men.'

The constellation contains thirty-five stars. Two of the 1st magnitude, one of the 2nd, six of the 3rd, nine of the 4th, etc., which, together with the four bright stars in the CROSS make a brilliant show in southern latitudes.

The brightest star, a (in the horse's fore-foot), has come down to us with the ancient name of Toliman, which means the heretofore and hereafter, marking Him as the one 'which is, and which was, and which is to come--the Almighty' (Rev 1:8). Sir John Herschell observed this star to be growing rapidly brighter. It may be, therefore, one of the changeable stars, and its name may be taken as an indication of the fact that it was known to the ancients.

Another name for the constellation was in Hebrew, Asmeath, which means a sin-offering (as in Isaiah 53:10).

The Greek name was Cheiron, which means the pierced, or who pierces. In the Greek fables Cheiron was renowned for his skill in hunting, medicine, music, athletics, and prophecy. All the most distinguished heroes of Greece are described as his pupils. He was supposed to be immortal, but he voluntarily agreed to die; and, wounded by a poisoned arrow (not intended for him) while in conflict with a wild boar, he transferred his immortality to Prometheus; whereupon he was placed amongst the stars.

We can easily see how this fable is the ignorant perversion of the primitive Revelation. The true tradition can be seen dimly through it, and we can discern Him of whom it spoke,--the all-wise, all-powerful Teacher and Prophet, who 'went about doing good,' yet 'despised and rejected of men,' laying down His life that others might live.

It is one of the lowest of the constellations, i.e. the farthest south from the northern centre. It is situated immediately over the CROSS, which bespeaks His own death; He is seen in the act of destroying the enemy.

Thus these star-pictures tell us that it would be as a child that the Promised Seed should come forth and grow and wax strong in spirit and be filled with wisdom (Luke 2:40); and that as a man having two natures He should suffer and die. Then the third and last section in this first chapter of this First Book goes on to tell of His second coming in glory."

HAVE THESE STARS BEEN IN CONJUNCTION BEFORE?

Yes. The last time Jupiter, Neptune, and Chiron were in conjunction was in 1945.

Two historic atomic bombs were detonated that year, one on Hiroshima on August 6 and again 3 days later in Nagasaki, which brought World War II to an end.

The most obvious events are the evacuation of Auschwitz and the other concentration camps--not only in Europe but in the Philippines, Japan, and others.

Franklin D. Roosevelt's unprecedented 4th term inauguration in office, and then his unexpected death in April. Mussolini tried to escape and got assassinated. Hitler, Eva Brown, and friends commit suicide in Hitler's bunker. Prime Minister Winston Churchill of Britain resigns.

Paraguay, Chile, Peru, and Ecuador get memberships in the United Nations, which was being organized in San Francisco, CA, and in France, women get to vote for the first time.

There were so many fascinating events that year, that I can't list them all here. Just go to Google or Wikipedia and check out 1945 and see for yourself, or you can go here for a quick run down of the events of 1945.

ASCENSION DAY

This day occurs 40 days after Jesus was resurrected from the dead. 40 days is how long Jesus stayed on the earth after His resurrection, and then He ascended into the clouds. Now, He sits at the right hand of the Father until His enemies are made as His footstool.

THE DAY OF PENTECOST

We don't celebrate this holiday in Christian circles much, but we should. This is the day that the church was born (Book of Acts 2:1-47). The Day of Pentecost coincides with the Jewish holiday of "Hag Shavuot".

According to Chuck Missler in his lecture on the rapture, Enoch was born on "Hag Shavuot", a Jewish holiday, which means "Feast of Weeks" and He was also translated (a form of rapture?) on the same day 65 years later. Could the same happen to the church?

Don't get me wrong, I am not date-setting here. I have no idea when the rapture of the church will come, and I caution anyone who tries to set a day and time for the rapture of the church. Jesus said it best in Matthew 24:36-42:

"But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe [were], so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two [women shall be] grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come."

WHAT CAN I MAKE OF THIS?

1) I had a dream that announced: "U.N.'s Messiah...May 23, 2009".

2) "Ascension Day" happens on May 21, 2009. This day commemorates the ascension of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ into the Heavens after 40 days of His being resurrected.

3) "Jerusalem Day" happens on May 22, 2009. This day is celebrated by Israel to remember the reunification of Jerusalem in 1967.

4) Two "stars" (Jupiter and Chiron) that are supposed to represent the Messiah, and I have a loose interpretation on Neptune that could mean "divine illusion" that will form a conjunction and not just one time. There are supposed to be several conjunctions of these three throughout 2009 and in the beginning of 2010. The first conjunction occurs on May 23, 2009.

5) May 23, 2009 falls on the Sabbath Day (Saturday).

6) There is a New Moon on May 24, 2009.

7) "Hag Shavuot" and "The Day of Pentecost" happen one week after May 23, 2009.

Even with all of this I cannot say with certainty what any of this means, if it means anything at all. Without clarification from the Lord, I am stuck with either my dream just being thoughts of my imagination while I slept, or a glimpse of the future. I have either wasted a lot of time and energy foolishly pursuing a vision of my own creation or this thing has a real purpose.

WHAT I DO KNOW FOR SURE!

1) The day of the rapture is coming. Look around, friend. We are living in the days of Noe (Noah). If you don't believe me, then take a look at my news blog at Watchman Rayburn's Report. Things are getting tough, folks.

2) If anyone comes presenting himself as a "world teacher" or as a supreme leader, then he is NOT the Messiah. Jesus will rapture the church prior to that. He will return to the earth with all of His saints and destroy the anti-christ. So, if I cannot be found on the earth, and someone claims that they are God, then you know that I am writing the truth about the rapture.

3) If you have not believed in Jesus as the Messiah/Son of God and prayed to God to forgive you of your sins in Jesus' name, then I urge you to do so now. Do not wait. No one but the Father knows of the day and hour when the Lord will rapture His church, and I want you to be a part of that.

Considering the Stars

Hellooooooo out there!


Lately, I have been researching a lot about the constellations. Mainly because of a dream I had about a month or so ago. If God permits, I'll write an article about the dream.

No, not the "zodiac" that the blind present-day astrologers, new age, secularists pawn off onto society as though their gibberish has any practical relevancy. It is the "mazzaroth" that I have been pursuing and searching for the meaning(s) which God gave to all of the stars and what His meaning is when different planets and stars "conjunct".

I have been reading a book by E.W. Bullinger entitled "The Witness of the Stars" which you can read here. E.W. seems to have his stuff together on this. There's also a book by Joseph Seiss entitled "The Gospel in the Stars" that is compelling.

I believe that God has revealed His divine plan in the stars. It's been right under our nose (or right over our nose in this case) all of this time. How many of us have not considered and gave reverence to God over how he placed the objects of the heavens into the sky? Well, I plan to search it as much as I can until God restrains me.
